Label Love - Deer One

Just like pinterest, instagram is an enabler when it comes to things like home styling, what to eat and drink and of course, shopping. Seeing gorgeous little kidlets parading around in to-die-for moccasins only fuels my obsession and need to acquire said footwear. The lovely Kelli from Anarkid put me in touch with the darling Angie, at Deer One, to talk all things moccs.

Deer One moccs are 100% leather, handmade and the quality is simply outstanding. Label Love - Munster

When I am scrolling through online stores I usually do so without paying too much attention to prices and then when I see something I like I check the price and nine times out of ten it is the most expensive thing on the page. The munster label fits this category in a way but with a little searching (due to the large amount of stockists) a bargain can usually be found.

Munster make funky clothes for mini and regular sized lads and lasses and I have fallen in love with many pieces. The pieces are a little bit edgy, completely individual and excellent in quality.

I actually bought Ned this pair of pants from the Lil Missie Munster range after asking the Trainee Mama facebook community whether they could be unisex or not.

What is cool is that the boys range is just as (if not more) trendy than the girls range.

shopping tip: it may seem obvious but SHOP AROUND! Once you've found the items, also search for discount codes to make sure you get the best deal. It is often worth spending an extra couple of minutes to save some extra bucks (or perhaps buy another item or two )

Love to Dream Inventa Sleep Bag ... Review and GIVEAWAY

I was recently sent a love to dream INVENTA sleep bag by the dream team (haha, get it?!) at love to dream for Ned to try out.

I had already purchased the 50/50 transition swaddle which is a great way to move your baby from the comfort and security of having both arms tucked away, to one arm, eventually to having two arms out in preparation for sleeping in a sleeping bag.

The INVENTA sleep bag is a wonderfully soft cotton with bamboo lining and has a great innovation called the genius cooling system - a zipped section on the front which can be open or closed to help regulate your baby's temperature. It is easy to move the baby into the sleeping bag too as it opens flat with a fabulously long zipper. This also makes it easy to change your baby's nappy without too much disruption but if I'm being honest, I NEVER check Ned's nappy during the night. Oops.

Another great idea is the longa shorta feature which allows you to tailor fit the sleeping bag to your baby. As Ned is on the probably shorter side of average, it means we can clip it up so it is a nice tailored fit and, as he (hopefully) grows taller, we can make it longer.  

Being a bit of a snob too I do want my Ned looking fly and this cloud and hot air balloon print certainly keeps him looking pretty rad, even when asleep (is there anything cuter than a sleeping baby?!)

We interchange between this sleeping bag and his 50/50 swaddle (which is now basically just a sleeping bag) and I use them both for night sleeps as well as some during the day (especially when I have to deal with an overtired baby who just will not give in to his tiredness.)

I seriously swear by these products and will probably buy one for each new baby that comes into my life (my nephew Austin got a love to swaddle up lite for christmas).

I am on instagram A LOT. It is a serious time waster when I know I should really be reading Ned a book, singing him a song or teaching him about the world. However, sometimes my scrolling reveals gems like Byron Bay label Children of the Tribe.

Love to Dream Swaddles - A must have

I was recently sent a swaddle up lite to try from the lovely team at love to dream. 

I was very excited to trial it out as our gorgeous little man never liked being swaddled as they show you in the hospital with their arms down by their side, straight jacket style. I was using muslin wraps and wrapping him up underneath his armpits as he would sleep with his arms up like goal posts but the little worm usually managed to 'escape' before too long. The swaddle up light is the perfect solution as it allows the baby to be swaddled with their arms up!

I initially trialled it for Ned's afternoon nap and almost immediately after putting the swaddle on the little man was settled. I put him in his moses basket and he happily slept for around an hour. Those of you who have kids know that any extended period of time that the baby is resting is priceless. The following night we zipped Ned into his swaddle and just as the packet advertised it helped him self settle and he was asleep before we knew it. That night Ned slept for five hours straight - that was beyond joyful. When we got up to change his nappy (diaper to those of you playing in America), I was excited to notice two zips meaning you don't need to take the swaddle completely off - helpful when you're fumbling around at two in the morning and trying your hardest to not disrupt or wake up your little one. The design is also perfect for the little ones who have busy hands and manage to scratch themselves silly. As we have affectionately nicknamed Ned 'the conductor', the swaddle up is perfect. The lite version is especially good for warmer climates and seasons and the material is just divine. Seriously, if  they made them in adult size I would wear one.

This product does everything it advertises and I one hundred percent LOVE IT.
