Mama Wardobe | the 2015 edition

When you stare into your substantial, and mostly organised walk in wardrobe {with just your clothes - trainee daddy's clothes live elsewhere {in chaos, I might add}} on a Monday and have that nothing to wear moment, what do you do?

Select a pair of printed pants from your extensive collection, find a tank, slap on some sandals and you're ready to rock n roll. Or in my case, head to work.

Alternatively, you could also find whatever clothes match your breakfast of choice {in my case a spinach, frozen green apple, mint, lemon juice and water smoothie} and roll with that.

Love to Dream Lite | Ice Green

If you've been reading this blog for a while you might remember me raving about Love to Dream swaddles. Seriously, they are a god send and are something I recommend to every new mum. They're also a fabulous baby shower or new baby gift.

I've had a relationship with the brand basically since Ned was born and when I saw the delicious new ice green colour that Love to Dream had released in the 'lite' range, I knew I had to get one for my soon-to-be-born nephew.

The colour is beautiful {much more pastel than the image}, the fabric is breathable, washes beautifully and is and oh, so light meaning you don't have to worry about your baby overheating. My twinnie wasn't aware of Love to Dream when my niece was little {they just wrapped her nice and tight} and when I asked her what she thought of the Love to Dream swaddle after using it for a short time she sung its praises. Basically little Hudson, who is now 10 weeks old knows it's bed time when the swaddle comes out. He settles quickly and is off dreaming {and loving it - see what I did there?} without too much fuss or hassle {well most nights anyway}.

Label Love - Deer One

Just like pinterest, instagram is an enabler when it comes to things like home styling, what to eat and drink and of course, shopping. Seeing gorgeous little kidlets parading around in to-die-for moccasins only fuels my obsession and need to acquire said footwear. The lovely Kelli from Anarkid put me in touch with the darling Angie, at Deer One, to talk all things moccs.

Deer One moccs are 100% leather, handmade and the quality is simply outstanding. They have an elasticed opening to make them easy to get on {a key feature in my opinion especially when your son's feet are described as 'monster feet'}, are stamped with the brand name on the sole, and come in the most beautiful packaging to ensure they are protected and will last far longer than your child prodigy will fit in to them.

Ned was lucky enough to receive a pair to compliment and let's be honest, make his birthday party outfit. These blue, blue, blue suede shoes are appropriately named the Blue Rockstar Moccasins perfect for my little groover and I can't wait to style some more outfits around these trendy shoes.

Manduca Moments - Baby Wearing (Manduca Baby Carrier Review)

Baby wearing was not something I'd ever considered before having Ned, believing only those 'earth mother types' would do such a thing. Wow, how my opinion has changed! I've been using a different carrier since Ned was little which took him quite some time to warm to but it seems this little dude fell in love with the Manduca, gifted to us by the lovely team at Fertile Mind, seemingly straight away.

The manduca was designed by a clever German lady with a few key points in mind. There are only a few carriers on the market which allow the baby to sit in the orthopedically-recommended way to support their precious little bodies. This ergonomic position is called the "M" position {baby's bum is lower than the knees forming an M} and this is just one of the features the manduca offers. There are also a variety of positions that you can wear your baby AND the manduca is suitable from newborn stage right up to about four years of age {or 20kg}.

I love the range of colours and {limited edition} designs available and given the options, I made sure I chose a colour suitable for both genders so daddy can wear the baby too. Us women know there isn't anything much more attractive than a daddy wearing his son : )

The carrier is light, is made with organic cotton and has extra long straps/belts at the hip and shoulder to help distribute weight evenly, as well as making it quick and easy to adjust based on the wearers size and preferences.

To start off with, I definitely needed the instruction manual to understand the different carrying positions and how to get the baby in to position. The hip carry had me baffled for a while but I finally managed to comprehend the {quite simple} instructions and I kind of think Ned enjoys the hip carry the most. All positions are surprisingly comfortable {I have worn the manduca shopping for over an hour} but my favourite is the back hold. Ned feels secure in there and if I do a bit of skipping/hopping it turns in to a bit of a game with him. I also love the front hold when he is getting sleepy as the closeness and the cuddles are still so, so nice.

It's safe to say I LOVE my manduca and would happily pay for one as well as recommending them to anyone looking for a baby carrier {however hippyish babywearing might seem to some}

Label Love - Anarkid

I follow quite a few children's boutiques and mummy fashion bloggers on instagram and recently fell in love with the gorgeous label Anarkid, designed in Melbourne. I snapped up the clever 'milk addict' onesie on an awesome sale from one of Anarkid's online stockists and fear I may have become addicted to the beautifully soft, organic cotton material and the simple, yet individual, prints and patterns.

Kelli, the awesome ex-graphic-designer-come-fashion-designer thinks Ned is a bit of alright and sent me two onesies to photograph - the 123 onesie and the A is for apple onesie. I think he does justice to the beauty of Anarkid and Kelli should know that if she ever needs a model in Queensland that Ned is her man!

I have my eye on a few pieces at the moment and am eagerly awaiting the release of the new season collection.

Label Love - Sapling

Before raving about how much I love the Sapling Child brand I do need to clarify something. I was asked by someone at the gym if I spend a lot of money on Ned after they liked my facebook page and presumably saw oodles of posts on 'what i bought'. I thought it probably does look like I indulge in fancy-schmancy clothes for Ned frequently but I do also do a lot of second hand shopping via ebay, op shops, garage sales and buy and sell groups on facebook. And now that my paid parental leave is just about finished, I'll have to wait till I return to work to start purchasing again.

I've been admiring the beautiful designs by Sapling for a few months now and managed to snap up some amazing bargains from one of their online stockists recently. The onesie and leggings are beautifully soft 100% organic cotton and with such fun prints, how could I resist styling up a storm.

Label Love - Munster

When I am scrolling through online stores I usually do so without paying too much attention to prices and then when I see something I like I check the price and nine times out of ten it is the most expensive thing on the page. The munster label fits this category in a way but with a little searching (due to the large amount of stockists) a bargain can usually be found.

Munster make funky clothes for mini and regular sized lads and lasses and I have fallen in love with many pieces. The pieces are a little bit edgy, completely individual and excellent in quality.

I actually bought Ned this pair of pants from the Lil Missie Munster range after asking the Trainee Mama facebook community whether they could be unisex or not.

What is cool is that the boys range is just as (if not more) trendy than the girls range.
